 New Fighter Tease!

This fighter will be revealed this Sunday (was going to be Saturday, but we decided it would be cooler to reveal him during the tournament on Sunday (more details about the tournament can be found on the Crab Studios Discord)).

Based on the initial design, as well as the weeks of playtests so far, this fighter is definitely going to shake up the landscape of FKO. Competitively, they might not be your first main (though who am I to tell you who to main), but they make for a uniquely strong counter-pick if you know the match-up!

Name of the New Mech Fighter Chosen!

So there we have it! Thank you all so much for your votes on the name of the Mech, or should I say Neptune! This means that the name for the Pilot and Mech fighter is...

Meet Calico & Neptune. They are FKO's first duo fighters. Mechanically, they work like any other fighter when separated, but when together, you can draw from both their decks and take advantage of both of their strengths in the same round! Neptune has multiple ways to restrict and control the opponent's movement, he also has a punishing close-quarters game. Calico has a smaller health pool but has a lot of movement abilities akin to Mercury (not quite as crazy as Surge), as well as long-range attacks. This combo can be quite deadly if played to the best of their abilities, and I am super excited to see them in a tournament setting!

Gemini Games is a FLGS in Huddersfield, UK, which is where Crab Studios is based! It's super exciting to be working with Gemini to demo FKO to the local community!

Here's the name of the Pilot! Thanks for voting :)

So there we are, meet Calico! Very excited for her to be joining the FKO roster :). The combined name of Calico and the Mech will make up the full name of the fighter. So for example, it would be Calico & Langley, or Calico & Hamilton. These two have unique decks, which you can use both of when fighting your opponent depending on whether or not you have ejected from the Mech, or whether or not the Mech is still standing.

Thank you all so much for bringing this project to life so far! We have just reached our funding goal, and with still 9 days left, we have plenty of time to unlock some stretch goals and make FKO even better!

Above you can see that our artist has fully realized the pilot! She looks super cool and we welcome her with open arms to the roster as part of the Oddities expansion! Now... let's get to picking her name!

New Fighter Reveal! 90% Funded!

The Mech Fighter has arrived! Write what you think of them in the comments below!

Hello all! I am super hyped to introduce the Mech fighter to you guys! Now, this isn't actually a FULL reveal of the fighter yet as... this fighter is actually TWO fighters in ONE! You may be able to notice a small silhouette inside the cockpit of the Mech, this is actually the pilot which is completely playable in the game as well! In-game, there are cards that allow you to switch between the two, offering completely different playstyles based on the scenario. Stay tuned for the pilot reveal, and at that point, we will vote on the names!

You can join the community discord here to play them early on Tabletop Simulator! It would be great to get your thoughts and suggestions on the fighter :)

We are so close now to getting the game funded and making the game a reality! Also with so much of the campaign left to go, it is entirely possible we can move onto unlocking some stretch goals. I am especially excited about the opportunity to turn the solo AI fighter into a playable fighter for people to compete with! New Fighter Tease! Thief Name Decided! 80% Funded!

Hello all! Below is a little tease for the new fighter in the Oddities expansion that is to be revealed this Wednesday! We will do an update, a showcase video, and we will update the Kickstarter graphics when they are revealed :) All I can say for now is that they are... definitely the most unique fighter yet! Comment below what you think of this fighter and what mechanics and playstyles you think they could have! I'll shout out the person who writes the closest guess in the next update!

Thief Name Decided!

Thanks to all that voted on the name for the Thief! I think Sly is a great name and it fits the character really well, both in terms of looks, but most definitely in terms of personality!
